Looks like Ulysses signals to me....aren't the Firebolt ones LED?

Don't take this as a bash...I'm just trying to understand: why the gas mask? As a personal preference, I find it hideous looking (heh, you prob wouldn't like my bikes either tho! :), so there must be a good "meaning" behind it??

The gas mask came from ebay...seller from Florida.
The mask idea came from a Bueller who is or was on a few sites like this one a couple years back...I liked the idea and the look so sought out one and did some cutting to make it fit. Just google or search avon s-10 gas mask. Yes if it was up to me I'd black out the whole bike...lol. But I do plan some more though...the seat rails will definitely go black this winter and also the passenger foot rest brackets.
The firebolt lights are standard... mixed feelings about them ...like the back ones just not crazy about the fronts. They might have to be changed to led.
It's ok to critique my bike no problem...

andymnelson welcome to Buellxb :) I recognize the name from BWB... You are a fellow MN rider if I remember correctly[smirk]

Thanks Andy...I do use the Badweather site occasionally but this site seems alot friendlier and people actually comment most times...which is good. Not sure what a MN rider is...I'm out of Ontario Canada.

Thanks for the explanation. It's a question I've often asked myself, but never anyone else! :p

I really enjoy the BadWeb, and yes I am over there often! Thanks for the welcome.

I like your mods, bike is lookin good.

I put the Firebolt signals (LED) on the rear of my Uly, and 1125CR mirrors (with integrated LED signals) up front...I've been diggin that!

And yes, I am a fellow MN rider! :) (MN=Minnesota!)

Nice work! Do you have any comments on the crossroads compared to the stock handlebar?

I am sure it helps with canyon carving, but what about comfort for 300+ daily rides?

I use the badweb...they gotta ton of info which you gotta look up yourself. Guess they answered the same questions a couple thousand times they don't wanna deal with them I guess. This site always someone will answer.
MN...lol. Ya I should'a figured that out...good ole Vikings and the former North Stars.
Think I'll look at led lights come winter. Same with sliders and levers...plus some paint.
I do like my 0 degree crossroads...don't mind the position... you have to learn to grip the tank/airbox with your knees alot more...takes the stress off your wrists. Plus the bike looks alot cooler with the bars...I think. Ya I do believe it changes the drivability somewhat...all the better for me...but everybody is different. I ride about 9 -10 months max we had a snowless winter last year and warmer...March was good. Buffalo and Minnesota get worse weather than we do in southern Ontario alot of times.
Hope global warming keeps up ...lol. It's freakin a hot one today. 91

one of the draw backs to the bad web I think over this site is the fact that here if a topic is old you can still add imput to it and it goes back to being in public view were as on Badweb if a topic falls in the the arcives it stays there and no one sees it to help you so people ask the same question a million times.

I typically only need to put the bike away from early/mid November till March....not too bad. Plus I get to snowboard during those months :)

Without starting a pissing match between forums...I gotta say that I prefer the BadWeb for technical know how- there are a ton of true experts hanging out over there.

Bike looks cool Andy...where did you get that wind screen?
I like to get at least one day ride in Dec. and I'm happy.
Both sites are awesome no question and we need both.
Your right about that firebolt...but at least they have a huge archive.
Looks like you need some levers too...I'm thinkin pazzo's...in Canada were talkin $200 for the pair.
