It is great to be back in central Florida. My agency has had me up in the Florida panhandle working on the oil spill. Miss all of you and hope everyone stayed safe and had a happy 4th of July.

guess you haven't been on your Buell in a while. Hope you get home soon to go for a ride!

I would think your job might make you feel weird about riding around on something that consumes crude oil (in a roundabout way) just for pleasure.

Just the pictures I see on the 'net make me feel kind of weird every time I'm at a gas station. I think about the gulf, and the people that are out of work from the spill, the environmental impact, etc.

I worked from the west end of Panama City Beach to Apilachicola. There was very minimal oil damage. Of course, the state of Florida has been proactive in it's efforts to combat the effects of the oil spill. Also, BP is making a great effort to curb the effects. The major effect I saw was that a lot of marine life that should be further out in the Gulf was being pushed further to the shore due to depleted oxygen levels in the water. I am home now, and the Buell will be ridden today!
