I talked to a muffler shop here in town yesterday and the guy said he could weld one on my bike no problem. He said hed weld it on and put me a tip on it out to the left like the jardine. It would be on there for good but i think it would offer a good amount of back pressure and give me a good loudness level.Has anyone else done this? Is this a good idea? And I know I post a lot of crazy pipe questions on here but what can I say, I like to tinker.:p

I wouldn't do it permanent. Get an extra pipe and fab that one so if you don't like it you could switch it back.

a friend of mine has a dual glasspack setup on his scg. It is very loud, I would say comparable to a jardine, probably a little louder. Too loud for my taste, but he loves the sound. Looks good too, similar to a D&D.

A glass pack isnt going to give you much back pressure. Its has no baffling. Its a straight through perforated pipe with fiberglass around the outside to muffle some noise(not much).

My friend has a lot of popping issues and loss at top end even after some tuning due to the lack of back pressure. He is considering putting some baffles in to fix the problem.
IMO its not worth it. I dont think these bikes were meant to run open pipes. I had a jardine and even after I was able to tune the popping out, I still noticed a lot of loss on the top end of the power curve. With a gutted ad baffled stock can, i notice more power throughout the band and the sound is so much nicer IMO. I am not one for obnoxiously loud pipes.
But to each their own, thats just what I think.
