I'd buy gm if I had any cash. Years ago I got a tip on a unknown company and I really wanted to buy and I had $5000 BUT my truck engine blew so I had to fix it. This stock tip was before this "unknown" company went public. The company is Bluetooth

If you are talking about what was once the common stock of GM (The GM that went bankrupt) now trading at less than $1. It has no future value. I think that stuff is trading under a different name/symbol now too.
The new IPO stuff will not readily be available for purchase. The private investors and U.S. government will probably hold most of the shares that are offered.

Not much into stocks but with GM dropping 5 lines wouldn't it make sense to wait a little to see how that plays out first. Thing have to drop some since they are trashing Buick, Hummer, Ponriac, Saturn, and Saab.
I invest in GE since my company is owned by GE so the better we do the better my investments go. Plus some inside info my shop is adding on and will be about 33% larger within 2yrs (thanks to a $50mil investment) and we are the 3rd highest grossing company for GE, just some food to chew on.

HOnestly for small investors, you probably should never buy individual stocks. The risk is simply too high, especially if the money is anything but gambling $ and you can afford to lose it all. By far, the best way for the average person to invest is in mutual funds. Tons of them that have no load or out fees.

im not much for long term.the longest ive held on to stocks is about 2 years and thats ge i bought at 6.00.gm is going to open around 33.00 tomorrow some say it will climb steadily over the next 6 months and level out around 45.00 some say it will drop with in a few weeks.tsl is a good stock ive done real well with the ups and downs.
