Gonna get rid of the Firebolt. I've come to the conclusion its a piece of shit.

I purchased it almost 3 years ago, 8000 miles from a Dealer. I wanted something newer low miles all so I wouldnt have to work on it. The exact opposite is true, I spend more time working on it, more money into repairs than I did buying it. Its slow, it sounds terrible, shakes like crazy, and its just a fight with everything. Dont get me wrong, the times it does work I love it, love what Buell has done for me, the friends Ive made and Ill get another someday, but this one can go fuck its self.

Haha. Well you said you hate the bike and obviously don't want it. You couldn't have possibly had that many problems with this thing. I haven't had a single issue and I'm at 46k

I jest. Pretty sure my issues are
My own fault, i beat the hell out of. No vehicle deserved what ive done to this thing.

Not much of a salesman, but at least you're honest. Where are you located, and what's the stats on the bike?

The current issues are, I dont trust it.

Previous issues, Exhaust rattling to pieces, charging system failure first regulator then Stator, warped brake rotor, O2 sensor failure, wheel bearings, steering head bearings, before muffler change exhaust valve stuck closed multiple times, oil cooler leaked, instrument cluster rattled, biggest issue had my transmission fail.

I have repaired every issues I have ever had, I ride the bike every few days, and Im so nervous when I do "whats that sound? Whats shaking? Is it down on power? Is that a flat spot?" Yup fuck this thing

Sounds like you've repaired the major problems. You've pretty much got a new bike at this point. If it hasn't failed yet, I'd ride it. Someone out there's going to get a new bike for under what you've paid and put into it.

Seems like not that many big issues, and the big one's likely brought on from abuse maybe?

Anyway, good luck with anything else. I'm confident you'll find the buell is the most maintenance free and most reliable sport bike out there.

Jacob...so what are you going to replace it with? man, you're gonna miss doing the wheelies on her though:D I'd take it of your hands if I had the dough...I'll be in town this weekend.

At the risk of being a heretic, I say go for it! I love my XB as much as anyone loves theirs, but life's also too short to ride around on the same bike for too long, especially when there's so many good ones out there. :)

I've got a baby on the way and four bikes out in the garage. At least two of those bikes are going to be for sale this spring and sadly, it's likely one of them will be my XB. :(

I agree with Cytosis; good you're not beating yourself up about it and just moving forward. With my own XB I haven't had any major issues at all, but part of the reason I bought the XB was because I was having so many issues with my XS400 that I just didn't trust it even when it was working. I always wondered: "What's going to go wrong next?". Kept it as a project bike but definitely not a daily rider.

Whatever way you go, I wish you the best of luck and safe riding!

I think your Buell doesn't like you.. You said you abuse it. I think she is paying you back. Also never buy a used bike from a motorcycle dealer, and never buy a used car from a dealer. Buy one from a person. You will get a better deal and you are going to get more facts about the way it was treated. A used vehicle dealer will sell his own grandma a lemon.

I will give you $900

Wait, so Ive been offered $1000, then $900 for a motorcycle that runs and rides just fine, and had every issue thats come its way repaired?

Im just tired of always fixing it. Guess i could just baby it and all should be fine. That sounds boring as fuck, Id rather "abuse" it and have fun. Or I could be like some of these posers who have under 10,000 miles on theirs and brag about how Ive never had an issue.

See this guy gets it.
