I have to tell you guys.. A year ago I had a Buell XB9S with the race package and I loved riding it. It was my first bike and I loved it.. but, I used it primarily to ride to work on Sunny days and on the freeway it really struggled. Sounded like it was going to explode at 75 mph.. So I sold it and bought a 2004 Harley Davidson VRSCB VROD - I fixed it up and tricked it out, blacked it out.. and it was great on the freeway but no fun to ride - So recently I sold it, and actually made $1500 on it, and bought a 2006 Buell XB12SS Long and let me tell you, I am back.. I am very happy with the performance and the ride and I am much smarter now that I've had the Harley Davidson and went back. Why Harley Davidson dropped Buell is beyond my comprehension, especially when they are trying to introduce & reintroduce 9 new models of their same old Biker bikes this year.. I think dropping Buell will prove to be another bad business decision in a long history of bad business decisions.. but they've been in business over a hundred years, which is miraculous, but maybe they still think they know what they're doing?! Either way, I wanted you guys who have Buell's and look at Harley's and feel inferior to know that you are not inferior & neither is Buell. Buell is and always will be an old man's bike. The Buell is a better bike, a more reliable bike, and a more fun bike to ride. Have a great day.. Thanks for reading.

Oops - yes, by all means I meant to put Harley.. The VROD & the Nightster as well as the new blacked out XB1200's are nice attempts at drawing in youthful riders but they are nothing like a sport bike and nothing like a Buell.. Dropping Buell is going to be a huge mistake.. My VROD had good power and tons of accessories and crap to put on the bike, but it was no fun to ride.. Sorry for the typo there.. Buell Rocks, I'll never give up my Buell XB12.. Thanks for catching that.

i think the buell is more of a true harley than a v rod. The v rod was HD's answer for japanese cruiser bikes. 60 degree liquid cooled? [sad]
