got screwed by buell ebay guy

An extra $5.80? Not bad, **** happens. If it wasn't his fault I'd leave pos feedback. P.O. is probably being dick heads, there's always one jerk in every big business.
 
If it was me - I'd contact him stating the fact that it was supposed to be Free Shipping, yet you had to pay. That isn't fair, you did exactly what you were supposed to as a buyer. Then move on to the fact that you will leave negative if he doesn't straighten this out, and if he tries to leave negative in return - you'll contact Ebay and begin to bring them up to speed on this mess.

The fact that his Item said Free Shipping; he has no ground to stand on and it's just not fair for you to get stuck with the mistake - no matter who made it... I know it's just several dollars, but I've always tried to live by the creed, What You Tolerate, You Encourage.
 
Last time I got something like this, I went to the post office but didnt bring the slip. I told the guy I needed to pick it up, gave him my name and told him it was a big box (race plastics for my CBR) and he just gave it to me and told me to have a nice day. I originally flipped out because it was like $80 to pick up according to the slip, but wasnt charged anything... Also, the company I purchased from said that they would credit me the money if I provided them the receipt.
 
Leaving negative feedback really doesn't do anything and he can't retaliate anymore. Ebay made it almost impossible to give negative back to a buyer because if a buyer only had say 10-30 feedbacks a neg could destroy their rating while a neg for a seller with 2000 feedbacks 1 negative would do nothing. Not sure what size the package he used was but apparently he's sent dozens of them with no problem and his margin was fine.

A seller pays a fee to insert an item and on the overall price of the sale, including shipping. This is such a stupid Ebay policy, you also pay to have a reserve price and on and on. PayPal takes a cut too, it's such a racket. I've ate money on shipping because I made a stupid mistake of not checking a listing and giving free shipping on something I sold for next to nothing. I've been tempted to just not send the **** and refund the money but didn't. Who here wants to work for free? If some ******* at the post office decided to measure or weigh the package and charge the buyer COD, I'd do the exact same thing, say pay it, or send it back for a refund. Ebay is not going to shut a seller down for stuff like this unless it's rampant.
 
Yeah my experience with eBay and pay pal hasn't been to bad. I had one seller not even send the item. I disputed the sale wit eBay and pay pal and they fixed it eventually. Hate to see stuff like this happen, because in all reality it probably was the middle man...the post office. Who knows. so how do you like the banner on another note?
 
Its really nice. No complaints. Like I said this more of a post of me venting. My guess is either this guy has been bending the rules for a while and getting away with it or it was just the post office being pricks. Either way it was worth the extra $5.80. So be it.
 
That is the reason why it is a little hard to really deal with people online, but to be fair, there are the lot of sellers that are true to their word. Or you probably just got caught up with the item being the main culprit in itself.

Just follow the right steps and you will be refunded, that is if the seller is up in arms with what they have stated in their sales and returns conditions.
 
Hey, its me the seller, bought a bunch of buell stuff here in East Troy when they closed. Covers, straps, most of their line now stores in a shed, and even have their Blimp and art work from Eriks office plus a basements and storage shed full of styuff. I have shipped these covers and straps all over the world. Just today 50 straps and seven covers went to australia, cost 260 bucks just in shipping, another to belgium, spain, and russia in the last three days. Anybody who had to pay extra shipping apology, message me and I will send you a Buell surprise and make it up to you. I also have the original factory line design forever on a 11X7 design. Let me know
 
I want some more Buell factory stuff.. I got a crate cover and one of the factory station signs.

All I can find are package deals including straps. Ive got plenty of straps, don't need them.
