Hello fellow buellrs!! Just purchased an 08 1125r today, rode it home 25 mile trip (mostly 805 san diego) and I'm in love with this awesome bike :D. Did however run into a little mystery. What is the most cost effective way to change to reverse shifting[confused]. I switched to gp shifting 3yrs ago and love it usually takes 3 mins to switch but not on the buell[confused]. I did find a kit on the forums but i really dont feel like dishing out 200 bucks[sad]. I thought i saw somewhere on the web that you can use an sv foot peg and rod? any help would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post.

actually youre not allowed to have the gp setup on a streetbike, you could get a ticket, ive seen it personally

haha no im kidding, you can shift your bike however you like. but with stock rearsets, your adjusting is limited to the proper foot position. for me, the shifter was so high i couldn't even rest my heel on the peg, then i couldn't get it to where it needed to be, the linkage wont allow it. if you try it, youll understand when you see it. just me though, it might work for you.

really i just alwasy recommend after market rearsets with more adjustable options, and that are setup to be run either way, comfortably

gp shift

o didn't even notice they were gone, sorry

if i get bored tomorrow i can take pics for you, unless someone else has some

you dont need the washers though, and it really does only take a few minutes

isn't that link for the xb's though? the 1125 has the shifter directly on the spline rod. or am I missing something here?

o haha, ****, missed the part talking about for the 1125, yes thats for xb's, i have no clue how to do it on the 1125....sorry dude
