Great find, got mine a while back when they were still the $495 retail, and they were still worth it!

Look great, work great, easy to adjust on the fly. Just an all around good design.

Rasingcarus, I have the storz just give you an idea of what your limited to minus the LSL which attaches to your front isolator bolt. I personally prefer this style of damper, but thats just me.

Yea, I got it cuz I wanted it, not because I needed it. I keep it on the lowest setting when riding.

I have the LSL on my bike and prefer its location to the side mounts, but that is just my preference.

Anyone with track experience using one of these? If so, is there really much of a difference?
pretty much all race bikes have them.
They are more like an insurance policie .
With a damper the chance of a head shake/tank slaper is all but completly ilminated.
I never felt the need for one on my xb but the 1125 it is nearly a must have it is easy to skip the front tire and create a head shake.
as far as track riding goes it is nice the bike steering input is very stable and the same even when you run over a rough patch it turns the same.

I have the storz side mount damper, I like that style better as well, it's on a xb9s.

Hmmm, sounds tempting. Anyone particular website to check them out? Or should I just do a google search for Storz damper?

I honestly don't think a majority of buell riders on this forum even need a steering damper. I know I've never felt the need for one (and I ride much harder than most). My point is, if you feel like you need one, check your suspension, it's probably not set up.

Bring on the hate.

Edit: Hammel, sorry for the opinion, and thanks for sharing the link. It is indeed a good deal.

I agree with you completely Dave.

Like I said for me it was a want, not a need item. I just think it looks cool. Now on my dirt bike that is another story.

[up] on that most riders dont need a bike that ownes the curves either going by rear tire pics.:D

LOL, funny stuff, rep point for that [up]unless you be talking bout me [mad]

True, true. So far all my track days have been pretty damn fun with my bike as stock. I am a firm believer in learning the skills and not relying on tech to make you better. I haven't had any trouble so far with the front end feeling loose in the turns, but I've only been on one track.
