From your other post, it looks like you have done your research. Thanks for not asking if it's supposed to shake and make noises:)

Nice Uly!

With that super lox mileage it has sit unloved for a long time and truly isn't even broken in yet. My personal opinion is to put in high zinc conventional oil for the first oil change. It will help your bike break-in to undo all the damage that sitting has done, seat the rings to the cylinders, and cams to the lifters. The engine needs to wear before they can reach its max potential, THEN you can put in all the new voodoo oils you want. Ive seen many issues with cars, trucks, and bikes because of owners trying to out-think the engineers. These V Twins aren't known for wearing out, so a proper break in is prudent.

And check the date codes on the tires, with 2100 miles they probably still have tread, but they are 10 years old!!

You mentioned wheel bearings in you other post (great idea) do an idler bearing for the same reason.

Flush the fuel system. It sounds like you already started it, but a good flush could still save you from old ethanol gunking up your injectors.

Get ECMDroid (free) and a Bluetooth dongle (Buelltooth.com or PM Azmidget) it will help you diagnose it and even put different fuel mapping (Buelltooth.com for free, or AZMidget can do it for you ($100)) that matches your intake and exhaust. It's easy to do and a useful tool in the garage.

Have fun, welcome to the site, and always post pictures:)

Good luck with your uly have one 5 yrs now chasing a electrical problem right now but ran great until month ago

Wow thanks for the info on the "Buelltooth.com" item. I just ordered one after seeing your post! I recently bought an 2006 with 13K for $3400. Came with some soft Ortlieb bags and tank bag, a second seat, spare tires, new Pirellis on, and a $400 Jardine muffler that has not been put on. I was hesitant to put the muffler on due to potential tuning problems. Now with the engine mapping for the Jardine already available to upload I am confident the changes won't be too big a head ache nor a big HD shop bill. $50 is good with me (for the tuner link and Android software)! Does the Jardine do much? Where is the air filter to see if it has a K&N. I haven't looked at it much. Where do you even check the oil? It didn't come with a manual.

Cooter , thank you for all your input ,, great site,, Time to go for a am ride while it,s still cool outside.
you'll be needing the below and pronto if you envision any hot weather riding.....and even then your right inner thigh will protest. if nothing else your rear cylinder and cooling fan will thank you. still available thru any H-D dealer or online via surdyke....newcastle....the usual suspects.
