So I was browsing ASB and saw some of their frame and airbox gripster pads and got a little curious. I googled the pads and I have found some old posts with people using them but I am a little curious if they fell out of fashion or something as I really don't see too many of us rocking the pads. Anyone have any comments about the gripster pads? Thanks guys.

I love mine, made a big difference on my Uly and my Firebolt. I wouldn't own a Buell and not put em on. Just my opinion.

Does the buckle guard matter? I was already considering just the frame grip. I'm not sure if I would like the airbox gripster on the sides and I'm not sure the buckle guard would be super useful either.

.....Then again my bike is that color besides your carbon fiber (at least I have a carbon RSS lol) and yours looks sick like that.

Frames are a must for me, air box sides are nice but not needed and buckle gaurd is necessary for me because I open carry and the duty belt I use will scratch my air box. Other than that unnecessary.

Blah who open carries? Lol. I only open carry when I'm out shooting. Besides that noone sees. I haven't road my bike yet carrying. I imagine it will be somewhat uncomfortable though. I do use a pretty heavy duty belt so maybe it would be wise to just go ahead and get all the gripster pads. I mean its only $100 right? Thats nothing considering Ive had the bike like 3 weeks and have about 1k in upgrades in the works. I keep saying I'm done then I see more cool ****.

I've seen that before....I feel I must stop. I have to. HIDs are on the way, air horn on the way, xb lights on the way, headers getting done in ceramic, quick release seat pins, all the goodies. Still debating about getting LEDs and the gripster. I think I'll be satisified for now. Although the engine cover bugs me. Whoever did the rivot delete buggered up the holes and they look like ****. I try not to let that bug me though.

I have the Hi Fusion frame and buckle guard. I love them and wish I got the set. The material isn't very pliable so use a heat gun or do it on a hot day for best results.

Yes, they are adhesive backed and have a fabric like center to the high fusion type so they aren't the most stretchy, make sure you put them on when they are hot or the belt guard will get wrinkles on the contours of the air box.

I have a full Techdpec snakeskin set. I think they 1) enhance the look of the bike 2) decrease the amount of heat felt through the tank/frame. I've had them on my last three bikes and really like them. Snakeskin is a thicker, more rubbery feel than the fusion.
