so i have never heard of these before today : Guardian Bells
but apparently there is a pretty sizable market for them online.. at first i thought they were probably just a Harley/cruiser thing but i've been stumbling across Fz6r forums and a few other sportbike forums that swear by em [confused]

opinions? anybody use them?

i know of only one sport bike/buell guy who has one.....

i'm not one for superstition, i feel like my skills and own knowledge will do me more good than a bell

they've been around almost as long as motorcycles.superstition if you believe they will work they might,if you believe they wont dont use them,if your not sure try them.

Gotta be superstitious. Personally am not so....... [confused]

Not for me but if you like it rock it.

Not really superstitious.... But I need all the good karma/luck I can get.
I also live by the rule for the religious type " God only protects baby's and fools" and last time I checked I'm not a baby.

"few other sportbike forums that swear by em" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

God will take me when when and where he wants. Having a bell attached will only let him know I am coming home.

Considering the 9 I bought had one and it was wrecked, I'm saying they don't work

I have one and Crashed at Barber and Cherry had one when she crashed on the charhola.
Neither of us where seariously injured.
I am not superstious but hey it can't hurt

I was given one. Wasn't sure what to do with it. I've been on bikes for a long time without one and without incident so I wouldn't want to eff that mojo up! [cool]

Kind of a reverse psychology thing for me I guess!

I have heard of these for years and don't know what to think of the idea. There apparently is some faith or belief involved.

It just makes me wonder. Like with those dangly laces on the handlebar ends. [confused]

Came with previous bike and current one was a gift from wife, so yes. Do they help...whata' you think???....do they hurt...absolutely not.

It even gives me a chance to screw with someone (friends) if they have bike issues and don't have one :D

I wonder how many of the nay-sayers actually have a lucky number they play in the lottery, where a certain piece of clothing when they watch their favorite team, etc.[smirk]

you know i think it all comes down to.......is if you have people that care about you, or not.
because no matter how you look at it you mess up the mojo behind the bell if you buy it for yourself.
again i run one on my bike

So I guess no one cares about me :(

Lmao

That's probably the most ridiculous statment I've read from you. The people that care about you should know if your superstitious or not , if your not why would they buy it for you?
To each is own but to judge if someone has people that care about them from a stupid superstition is nonsense. ( stupid superstition is my opinion)

man really?
That's probably the most ridiculous statment I've read from you.
sh-t..... i think I have made way more ridiculous statements then that one, it looks like i'll have to work a little harder.

i think you are missing my point, and you are taking it way more to heart (i chalk it up to the holidays)

the gremlin bell is not for me or me being superstitious. it is the people that are around me...and weather or not i respect there opinions or thoughts even if i do not believe in it......
but to step it up to another level of stupid.....
let me guess.... you would also tell your grandparents, parents or loved ones, that they should not prey for your well being either? that's just because you feel you don't need it right this minute.

Definitely not taking it to heart.
I think you are taking my statements out of context. I'm not questioning or insulting anyone for there decision to use or give the bell. I was questioning/criticizing your statement about people not caring about you if you haven't received a bell. That is also why I said, "stupid superstition" in the context of that being the guideline of people caring about you.

I also stated, "to each is own" since my first post of this thread.

[confused]

I don't know where this came from. Maybe this was you working a little harder?

No one ever stated to disrespect someone for trying to give them a bell (or pray for them) they were just stating their opinion like asked for in OP
