I am planning a new bar for one of my winter mods. So, I am needing some advice/opinions. I am thinking about the Renthal (ultra lowrise) bar. I ride about 25 miles to work each way, all highway, and I usually run 75. With the stock bar there is quite a bit of wind hitting me in the chest. My thinking is that with the Renthal, I will have more angle to cut the wind on my chest. Finally, will I be sticking my head into more wind since I will be in a more forward position. I would like to hear some opinions from people who also do a lot of highway riding. Thanks

I also ride 25 miles each way to work - no handle bar is going to improve the wind thing. I have a set or low rise Pro-tappers and there is no diffeence from stock. If the wind bother's you - you bought the wrong bike. You can try and lean forward with the stock bars and see what difference there is.

I'm not saying the wind bothers me. I just don't want to change bars and have more wind hitting me in the head because I am in a more forward position. Maybe that explains my question better.

I see now - it won't be any worse.... the head tilt will help and the hand position on my new bars is much better. I bought the Pro Taper SE Schoolboy Hi (I think) It is lower than stock and I see they have a schoolboy lo also... and the cross bar is cool too (the nuggin bumper comes off) http://www.protaper.com/contents/products/handlebars/se.html

I have the Driven Racing Bars which are awesome. Planning on upgrading to the Driven Fatty Carbon Fiber bars this winter.
