Hey all, I laid my bike down a couple of weeks ago, and I bent my right handlebar a bit on my 1125R. Do any of you know if I can replace the handlebar of my 1125 with one from a vortex clipon? Vortex sells replacement bars for $15 a piece, and when I compare the ones I have on my CBR, they look to be about the same size and length as OEM on the Buell. The bar isnt bent too badly, but it just feels strange riding it.

FWIW I had a bent bar on my xb and replaced it with one from ebay, ~$10 shipped IIRC. I think xb and 1125 bars are the same. I replaced the throttle sleeve with a 1125 throttle sleeve and it was identical as well.

someone told me that the bar "unscrews"...so I am just making sure a regular bar (like are used with clip-ons) would work and that it doesnt have to be threaded at one end.

The buell bars are unique, I'd doubt any other bar would fit. They have a "nub" that protrudes on the end that fits in a groove in the triple tree. Then there is an allen bolt that tightens it down. Here's a pic:

Hard to see but there is a "nub" that sticks out on the end. This is my old damaged bar.

cool, I just called my local HD dealer... they actually had one in stock! I'll pick it up tomorrow. Thanks for the input!
