09' xb12ss. Dealer willing to tune on Dyno. I'm incompetent and not wanting to completely destroy my daily ride with tinkering with ecmspy having no clue and then being out of my commuter.

Bike is running lean with exhaust/K&N and pops hard on decel. It needs the tune and I'm willing to pay.

What does the dealer need to tune my bike?

Race ECM, Tuner, cable? They don't really know but swear they can tune the bike.

Where can I get whatever I need?
thanks

09s don't have many options for tuning. Xopti was able to tune them, but you would need to buy a 09 XB9 ECM and a ECMspy cable.

I think Directlink is a good option for the 09

ASB has the Key and cable you can download the software for free

ASB directlink key

My local dealer uses this program I wish I could pay for it also[up]

This is just one option I know there are more

Thank god they have tuners available in Alaska. I'm sure there are thousands of buells humming around up there and not one in CA. figures!
[sad]
Thanks for the help, Is direct link fairly easy to use?

If you want to tune your buell using directlink in Cali I've been told that Terry Parsley @ JTS Performance is the man to see.
I am looking at a big bore kit and will maost likley have him dial my bike in after the mods.

Hope this helps.

^What Stopie said^. Heard only good things about their mapping on '09 ECMs. They use Directlink just as the dealership would though so I'd shoot for whichever had the lower price.

As far as what you need, call them. They may be fine with tuning with the narrowband stock O2 sensor OR they may want you to put in a Wideband O2 in.
