Ceramic Coating is great for heat reduction and looks amazing. One small tip over to the right and your out the cash though.

As for the helmets. Not my cup'o tea. I had a co worker with a Simpson Bandit, its unique for sure but the style just isn't for me. But whatever suits you like is what really matters. If its any help I currently rock an Icon Variant and absolutely love it. That being said I think I'm either picking up another Osbe Tornado as I had one before and it was great. Or try and find a cheaper Roof Boxer V 4 as I love its looks and have heard great reviews.

Best of luck to ya!

Thanks! I'm leaning hard toward the "gold" coating but I really am having a tough time deciding!

I like the super street 2 but they don't offer it in gloss black. The others look a bit weird for a motorcycle.

I have the roof v8 boxer and love it!
My gf has a bell vortex and it's a really high quality helmet foe $180.

Zairmergair! I love that look!

How is the wind noise? Its the only bad thing I have heard about it. Also no one has mentioned wind around your face, that was the only drawback of the Osbe Tornado was it was a bit windy around the eyes.

Haven't noticed any wind around my eyes. It's not the quietest helmet I've ever had but it's not terrible . It is by far the most comfortable and has a great field of vision.

I've heard complaints about it leaking in the rain but I never ride in the rain so no complaints from me.[cool]

I have the XXR original in gloss. Love the look, nice and light, and comfortable. That being said, it doesn't feel as safe/sturdy as my old scorpion helmet. However i bought it because it looks badass. On the plus side, if it gets scratched up over time it will be easy to repaint cuz there's no crazy vents and airfoils on it. Also there is quite a bit of wind that comes in, but i always wear clears underneath.
