Header glow when idle

Just changed the oil in my 1125cr. well after I got done I was checking for leaks and I noticed the headers where glowing.. is this normal.. these pics were takin roughly 5 mins after I started the bike and I didn't ride it it was on stands.. The rear header is actually glowing more than the front but the headlight was making the front look brighter.

Bust out the marshmallows and make some S'mores (my XB headers glow also, i was told and have read that its normal[confused])

That's pretty bright. There have been threads on this topic in the past, but I don't remember any real issues to be concerned with.

I dont think i've ever noticed mine being bright red like that...... now i'm curious if mine get that warm...

Buells run hot thats for sure.

Yea, some you guys have heard of the stories, people hanging their coat or backpack over the handlebar after a ride and melting it to the header[sad].

1badtitan90 - I'm so glad I found this topic. I just started a thread where I mentioned that my header was glowing after changing my oil. Basically it was exactly the same thing, I let it idle in the driveway looking for leaks. I was really nervous about some thing being wrong with the bike. But after seeing this thread, I feel so much better. It's freaky to know that they can glow that much, these pictures make my picture look pathetic now. lol
