Thanks for the heads up on that! This forum is SO HELPFULL!!! [up]

Ceramic is the only way to go!  Totally maint. free and if u get them done inside and out, you can grab them with bare hands about a second after you shut your bike off.    P.S. I think they can do it in a variety of colors also.

Hi TooFst,

Does the Ceramic Coating really reduces the heat of the Headers so seriously[confused]
And what is the rough price of HeadersCeramic Coating?

Thanks!

Ha, part of owning a Buell was to avoid polishing metal to look like shiny chrome.

That's just me.

Carry on as you were.

Haha! You're right! But its all really about having a nice clean bike... not all chromed but those brown burn spotted headers just look old and used up! An hour of elbow grease makes it look new again. Trust me... my enduro motocross is all f&$ked up cosmetically but runs like a new one, I like it that way, those are meant to look and be beat up. Thing is, these bikes are just so damn beautiful, gotta keep em' looking sweet! [smirk]

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of the raw clean metal look. On the other hand the brown burnt metal, look at me I can't be bothered to clean my bike look, doesn't do it for me..
To each there own, some people just like to take better care of their stuff..

pitted and rusty = scrappy as far as this topic is concerned. thas what i meant :D

the metal is raw and clean, super clean being that its rubbed with fine grit sandpaper and super raw being that its not coated.

Here's another post scrub pic. Water + Scotchbrite + 20 minutes + Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish. Thanks for the tip!

The only downside, was that I discovered a couple of small dings in the bottom corner of my header : (
