Headlight Question

I thought at one point I saw a thread on here where someone had turned one of their headlights yellow. I've searched for it but can seem to come up with anything. Not sure if it was a different bulb they used or what. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, or am I crazy? I'm looking to run my bike w/ both lights on (one yellow, one white).

not sure if he was on this site but i know a guy on BadWeb used vinyl film to tint the light(s) yellow.

You can get yellow bulb or use a high temp glass paint to do it the cheap way...

Will that work for turn signals also Fox? Will it significantly change the color if I take out the orange lens and then just paint the bulb? And does that change the color of your headlights alot also?

you'll get the color you painted it in.
if you paint your turnlight, your headlight won't change color

I took out my orange lens, real easy, but why not just goto the autoparts store, or ebay, and just buy the bulb color you want?

I took the orange out of the front signals so it wouldn't be orange, I'd opt for the "hyper-rice" blue color myself...

It's a streetbike, no orange!

Can anyone tell me how to open the headlight housing in order to change a bulb (XB12S)?

Can anyone provide some advise on how to change the headlight bulbs on an XB12S? I took off the windshield, but I really don't see any screws or bolts to remove.
Advice????

Thanks. I looked at the Firebolt Service Manual and unfortunately, the headlights are different on the Firebolts than the Lightnings.

you need to remove the windshield, and then the adjustment screws in order to remove the headlamp assembly.
