headlight recall whos has had it done. if you had the headlight recall done , did it help any and how did it help, can you see better with low beam or farther out or is it any brighter with low beam or high beam? thinking of geting it done this winter since it is free, but maybe hid if it doesn't help too much , but would have to wait till summer to do hid or something because of Money $$. my lowbeam lights up is like a small flashlight with almost dead
batteries, so i ride with highs on, but that cause cars to bright light me back.

Had mine done this last summer

It did make a difference. I had to have my brights on all the time just to see and now i can run with just the low beam.

Made a HUGE difference. Mine was like you describe, a flashlight with the battery going out. It was almost dangerous to ride a night because of how low the light output was. After the recall was done I don't have any problems with light output. I still want to get HID's to go even brighter, but it's definitely not necessary.

Get the recall. Night and day difference. The recall is for the chrome reflector flaking off inside the projector housing. That reduces light output. If you don't get the new projector housings (FOR FREE!) you will be disappointed if you install HIDs.

I saw a HUGE difference. Prior to the recall service my headlights were so dim I had to ride high beams everywhere.

Before recall = Mag Flashlight with old incandescent bulb and dead batteries. (so bad I couldn't safely ride at night at all even the high beam was crap)

After Recall = Can ride at night!!! Have a nice clear pattern and can see very clearly in Texas Hill Country.

I had it done, but only bc my lens was cracked from the previous owner. My lights weren't bad before and they are no brighter now. They aren't bad now...they just weren't dim before. You know they didn't commission the recall bc of dim lights, they did bc in really intense sun the lenses were focusing the sun onto the faring and melting it. Thats why there are rings in the new ones. If you do have a dim set tho, new ones will obviously help that out.
