does anyone know which wire is the positive wire for the high beam the red with black stripe or the white wire

I just looked at mine and the left high beam is red and black the other wire is white. 09 1125r

ya both high beams for mine are that way im just needing to know which is positive and which is negative...im thinking red/black is positive and white is negative but i know that most white wires are neutral.

I guess i should clarify what i am asking this for. i am changing out the 1125r front for the xb12r front running 10k hids and im using the 1125r stock headlight plug and needing to know if the white should tie into the black for the negative or just leave it open

hmmmm. i would guess the red and black is the hot wire too. honestly if your wrong whats the worst that could happen. use the old bulbs first to test it out.

well i just plugged everything up and the low beam works correctly but when i switch to high the high beam doesnt light up so i figure that the white wire on the is the high beam negative so it will need to be hooked up with the other negatives or directly into the HID neg then to the negatives coming from the stock plug....guess i will have to wait till later this week to see if it works cuz the bike is in storage unit 30 min away

Not sure if this will work...

From cycleguy's post, it looks like R/Bk is negative using the cavity numbers on the plug from the two pictures
