In an effort to avoid more lawyer costs to defend my business name I've agreed to change Pink Gorilla Cycles' name. (Gorilla Automotive sued me for the use of Gorilla...)

It was a lame lawsuit in an effort to garnish my revenue which I could have won, but I didn't think it was worth it to fork over 35k to a lawyer to go to court. All I can hope is that people avoid purchasing their lug nuts.

At any rate, Please welcome the orangutan...

Next month I'll have everything going through the new domain http://www.motorangutan.com and I will still offer permanent buellxb discounts!

Sorry to hear that. But you seem to have come out ok. Also thanks for the link. Never know about your site. I'll be checking it out

Man that stinks!!

Those locking lug nuts are a joke anyhow, haha

Hope it didn't take too much time or money for your hassles in this.

You have my word, I'll never buy from them again! (I have even pushed their product before) damn sure won't now!

Its shitty when companies do that. I've heard that Monster cable was doing the same thing.

d_adams, I was able to negotiate keeping the old domain. They only would let me have it for one year and I'll just do a blanket redirect over.

The guy was a jerk. He lost out on lawyer fees too because I refused to pay him any money in 'damages'. Even after I offered to change my name he kept demanding I pay him damages. I essentially called his bluff because they really didn't want to go to court and gave up when they realized they wouldn't get money from me.

They've sued a ton of business that have gorilla in their name. A couple were gorilla lift, and gorilla grip. Unfortunately, all other other companies they've gone after ended up paying money to gorilla automotive.

For me, it wasn't cheap, but it could have been a lot worse.

That's unfortunate. Maybe they'll get what they deserve and Gorilla Glue will have deeper pockets and sue Gorilla Automotive.

Maybe everyone on the forum should bombard them with emails/mail comolaining about it. Or order 150 pizzas to be delivered to them. They probaly suck as a company and are only around because they sue everyone.

Well glad to hear you were able to not get completely screwed, next time I need something I'
ll be sure to support you!

buellxb9rs, I do appreciate the thought! I've had many vengeful thoughts, but with these guys I fear what lawsuits they would try to bring on me. I'll just leave it to karma. It seems like they sell many of their products on amazon.
