anyone done this yet, i was on a CMN ride last year it was about 100 degrees outside and we was motoring through a parking lot to park and i put my legs down and scorched my thighs, through my thick icon pants!!! ouch but i think this will solve the problem. that rear head gets HOTTT!

looks like a good idea,id put some under the the air cleaner base to keep the motor heat down.
 
i have a double layer of the bubble pack two side foil faced on mine.
one under the air cleaner and rider seat
second glued to the under side of the seat works well
 
Pockets, no no oven mittens on the bike, but that would be pretty classic to wear as riding gloves!

Midnight, I got the heat shielding from home depot in the insulation department. It's held up great and it's done it's job [up] Too many "it's"? I think so.
 
I'm gunna have to try this when it gets hot.. right its cold here so i like the extra warmth.
 
no i was told by odie that the airbox heat barrier is kinda pointless, but i do have a underseat one coming from him. and the stick on in the pics come from ebay-summit racing
 
I live in Phoenix, I'd really appreciate some heat deflection. My innards get pretty heated on this air cooled monster.
