Well after a few months of trying to get in contact with a certain fellow from another Buell forum who managed to pull 187hp out of his XB. I finally got a response. I'm very giddy at the moment and felt the need to share. Hopefully when I go on leave I can start my build thread. It'll probably only be the top end rebuild, if i do it at all I'll probably just ride her and enjoy myself. But at that point i should have most of the parts purchased and ready for work. Project D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. here I come.

That bike is insane!! shame she blew up, but from what I hear the rebuild is under way and I heard rumors of coming back around 200hp

yea, I think he's going nutzo with a 1450 kit and then going to boost it. i don't need all that. I'll be keeping Dorothy a curve crusher. Just looking for a bit more on the straights.

so it will blow up faster

the last explosion was due to a personal error. He had an intake leak and did not know it, and kept turning the boost up higher and higher till it popped the intake. he fixed the leak and forgot to turn the boost back down. After on good run with way too much boost for the tuning, she exploded. From what I read in his journals it was rather reliable at the ~190hp mark

he is putting upgraded internals from the start this time before things have time to go wrong

Not sure Myself If more than 142 hp with chain drive on my 08- XB12R what would happen with all that. I like the Builds but a real expensive hobby for some. I would miss the Curves. Insane horses though, Would be great to see a Video of the Bike Roaring down UHHH the Runway?.Cool builds are a nice compliment for the Buells.

The first video extreme posted was the last video before she blew. As you can see at the end the intake pops from all the boost. Once the repair on the leaking intake was fixed, the next run with way too much boost blew it up.

Wasn't it stated that it was built with stock internals, just to see when it would pop, I remember reading thru it all, and it was an insane build, just to prototype the install kit for the turbo, now when he rebuilds with "PROPER" bottom end components, can you say 2.5 lbs per pony, awesome

Anyone know if the Belts can handle up to 140hp? I kinda don't wanna get rid of it. I don't mind switching to chain but I love the belt feel.

Isn't D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. that stupid machine that can't stand up straight and has an annoying shrieking sound as it waits to get sucked up by a tornado in that crappy twister movie. :D

Kidding. Looking forward to seeing another turbo project bike come together.
