And here we go XB9SX Y2007, THB 240.000 all inclusive (take care the registration, pay when all is set&done), reimport from Japan with minor updates more to come

I imported my buell from the middle east, hand carried 4 suit cases, Wheels, lights, all the removable stuff in with some help from friends. Imported redneck frame from the states and engine from the middle east. Flew it all in Thai airways. Import and shipping on the engine was around 75,000 baht and about the same on the frame. Once here bike was put together, paid another 50,000 baht for the super samit tax excise tax, and am now in the process of getting a green book.
It is possible to do it but is not really worth all the head aches and wouldnt do it again.
Cheers

Hi Rigger

I guess I have ask u before, just to make sure: can u do ceramic coating of exchaust pipes and muffler (to reduce the heat)???

Not sure but I have sent a e mail off to Richy at Richo motorsport in Chang mai as he should know and will get back to you.

Thailand rocks.....last year went to Krabi Ao Nang gonna go this year.....world dramas permitting...try and keep off the bikes while im there..... ;)

Err which bikes are you talking about LBFM ?, The best motorcycle riding is central, north east and Chang mai areas.

BKKBuell
Apprently Richo use to do it but stopped due to it being expensive and doesnt know of anyone else that does it in Thailand.
Cheers

I live in Khon kaen, and ride with a sports bike group from Maha salakram when I feel need for speed and also ride with a local MC.
I was at the Khow yai races a few weeks ago and was suprised to see a modified 1200 buell racing in the 1000cc class, the guy was doing well until it came to 1/4 way down the main straight where the new 1000s would leave the buell like he was standing still, but still a might effort I thought

V-twins really just don't have the top end of the Fours. But the Bottom and Mid what makes them the better streetbike.

Well really that should read air cooled V twins dont have the top end as the Ducatis were kicking ass and my TL1000R V twin has some giddy up for a fat old pig.

not true a Ducati does not have the top end of a four. It has nothing to do with air cooled. my old H2 would kill many ducs.

Yeh the H2 might have kill a few ducatis in a straight line many many years ago but this is 2011 and The new 1198 were pulling from the jap fours down the straight reaching 280 klm/h on that track so to say v twins dont have it at the top is bollocks.
hi proformace V twins are liquid cooled as more HP produces more heat.
Look at V rods,Ducatis,Jap V twins
