New to the forum, I have been reading through threads all night really good stuff on here and a lot of knowledgeable people. I found this sight while searching for a replacement program for my old techno research program. Either the program/ cable or the old laptop died. I would like to find a current and free version of Ecm spy. Any help is much appreciated. I got a cable and maps coming. The bike is a 07 XB12R with the factory race ECM an old Drummer with the billet end cap and all the intake goodies. The program would not communicate anymore when I hooked it up for a routine 1000 mile service. Is there a better plug and play map than the factory race map? The bike runs great except it is developing a low rpm/part throttle serge. It might have always been there( since I did the ECM etc at 500 miles-after break in) but I never really used to ride it the way I am now(low rpm and part throttle lol). It has been a couple thousand miles since I reset the TPS so I am hoping that's all it is.
Any help or ideas would be great, Thanks!

Thanks.
I bought this bike new from the HD dealer, at that time they sold a "race only" ecm. I had a 03Firebolt that I bought new in apr of 2002 and at that time they had a race kit that included dual outlet race muffler the high flow air filter and a race ecm all for 600.00 LOVED it. By the time I bought my 07 they no longer offered the race kit only the ECM- it was just like the one for my 03XB9R, with the way more aggressive fuel and timing maps, and it also deleted the exaust servo. That's why I ended up with the Drummer cause I couldn't get the factory race pipe. I could access the "race only ECM's" with my software just the same as you could the stock ECM's. Back in 02 I had some nightmare experiences with the HD dealers around here and would not trust them to work on a lawn mower. So I bought the Techno research program/kit so I could do all my own maintenance and repairs. It died and they want a grand for the new upgraded version. That's why I am looking into the ECM spy, and how I arrived at this awesome site. In 02 when I bought the TR program Ecm spy was available, but only in German lol.

Lotsa new guys on here; that's great!

Welcome! Whether you're new to riding, or just new to Buell, I'd strongly encourage you to budget for some rider training (beginner or advanced), & some good riding gear, if you haven't done so already.

Have a great season!
