Hi. I'm a new member as of 26 Dec '24. I just purchased my third Buell, a 2003 XB9R. I owned the same model, earlier in life. I also owned an '08 1125, purchased during its first year of production. Of the 9R and 1125, I found in retrospect I preferred the rawness of the XB9R so when one came available locally, I purchased it (today). Speaking to the 1125, when I owned mine Buell was hot and heavy, racing at Willow Springs International Raceway and I was a frequent spectator for the first (or maybe second) season of racing. It was thrilling to watch (and I don't remember his name) spank the Ducati, LOL. That guy was a great rider, on a great bike.

LOL. I believe the rider's name was Shawn Higbee. He was (is) a member of the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club. I could be wrong on the name. It's been a while and I've slept once or twice since 2008. But yeah, Buell consistently beat the Ducati(s) it raced against. This was just after the 1125 was released. Glory days!
