Help! Jammed trunk lock?

Hey, I just got my 1125, and the trunk appears to be jammed. I took the seat off, and it looks like the lock mechanism is turning inside (the whole deal). I've tried grabbing it with pliers, tried pushing on teh cable end with a screwdriver, and about everything else I can think of, to no avail. Ideas?

Try pushing forward (at tank)and turn key at same time, sometimes there just hard.

You may have to replace it due to it turning all the way around like that. Remove it completely and really take a close look at it. There is supposed to be a Repair Kit around for that however I haven't seen one in the last couple of years. That might be a Buellister parts item they might have a good used one. Once you remove it then maybe you can get a better idea on how to repair it.Check American Sport Bike .com as well. Maybe even E-Bay. Good Luck.*Jimi

Your local locksmith ought to be able to take care of it for not (TOO) much money. Call and get a quote. I did this before on another bike and it worked out good.

See if you can access the latch through the taillight hole.
