I'm a really huge buell fan. More now that i bought me one last year it's an 05 xb12r with a aftermarket exhaust i don't know the name of it it came on the bike when i bought it. But ever since i bought it it's been having a sputter, bucking, jump reaction under 3,000 rpm's. I've bought a new coil, spark plugs, changed the air filter to a k&n air filter, i bought the spy cable and put the race map on it, reset the tps, afv, and all that good stuff i've tried pretty much everything i would read about in similar forums but nothing seems to work. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be and can inform me i would greatly appreciate it (this is my first post so let me know if theres something i am doing wrong) THANKS IN ADVANCE.

and this is my baby it's a webcam pic i'll try to get better shots of it when i can find my charger for my digital camera(darn kids are something else but you can't help but love them)

can you get some better shots of that exhaust? looks like a straight pipe if so i would invest in a better pipe, do a tps reset and breather mod..

it might be ur throttle/idle cable adjustment? also, try setting ur idle with the idle screw adjuster (below left behind air scoop) right after the engine has been around 400 degrees, thats the best time to do afv, tps, idle

ok here is some more shots of the exhaust

and 07bolt i've reset it them before but never at that temp. i'll try that tom. and repost on how that works thanks

def a race pipe, if u got a hi-flow air cleaner that will work with the pipe,

if u dont have a race tuner, then it could be ur air cleaner(dirty) plugs(fouled) or bad gas.

That looks like a two brothers pipe.

Not two brothers. I can't think of the name right now. I have seen them before though. It is a direct fit aftermarket.

07 bolt i have a k&n air filter on it, and i'll try and get some better plugs cause the ones i have on it right now comes from the harley shop don't know how good they are

williegoat good eye it's cause of the web cam

and tuneport they have something wrote on it just can't make it out it's in cursuve

thanks to all i'll definetly be trying all of this

ok tuneport it looks like a meg or megs exhaust it has a really good deep thump that'll kinda have you and everything around vibrating

That is a force exhaust, very expensive, very loud, very nice, very simple. As for the problem, have you checked then primary chain?

kyle no i didn't yet but i'm gonna now thanks

dave yea it's the lowest i can go without scraping everything but i find it looks alot better and it handles pretty good

You definitely lowered the center of gravity that's fr sure. I just hope you locked those forks in tight.

Ok...am I going completely crazy or is his motor backwards. The primary and rear brake should be on the left side of the bike. Belt should be on the right side.

*Not my bike...just posted for reference

Well I found what I was thinking. It is a Force system except I can't see the headers to be sure. Has anyone else noticed the oil cooler on the right side and what looks like the header running down on the left side? Looks almost like the damn thing is backwards ???[confused]

I would like to see a picture of the other side of your bike. I so curious now as to what the hell is going on.

That has to be a mirrored image or something. The more I look at it I feel like I am just looking into a mirror. Every damn thing in the picture should be on the left side. Now I am really confused. A little help here please. An to think I have smoked a damn thing today.

Did you make the air box mod??? It helped a lot on my XB9... If yes my best guess would be to check the spark blugs (NGK iridium right?), if these are dark go to a dynoTestStand and remap via ECMSpy. The exhaust/pipe I am certain is not a problem except its not totally blocked... do you have gas smell when starting?

tuneport mirror image (webcam)

bkkbuell no i didn't but the more i read about it the more i want to do it i don't remember exactly on the plugs it's whatever the harley shop deals with maybe screaming eagles or something as far as the gas smell never really noticed while starting but when i stop it i'll get a gas smell
