HELP!! MY BUELL WON'T START

I have a 2005 firebolt xb12r and I have had problems lately with it starting so i have replaced the battery and it ran fine for a while but now seems like its dead... even when i put it on the charger it still wont start. It has about 13000 miles on it and is overdue for a spark plug change also think it could maybe be the alternator or starter. If anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it Thanks!!![confused]

Hi - can you clarify: do you mean it won't start (ie, turns over but engine never runs), or it won't crank (ie, doesn't turn over)?
Do you hear any clicking noises when you press the Start switch?

once i put it on the charger for a while i can get the cluster lights to come on and seems to have power but just makes a loud clicking noise

Sounds like your stator maybe.

What is your battery voltage right now, when it won't crank and makes the clicking noises?

You might want to check your charging system first. If the charging system isn't working properly, then it would run fine for a while with a new battery, but as you drive, the battery discharges more than it gets charged until eventually it won't be able to crank the engine.

Since you have the service manual, follow the instructions for Charging System Troubleshooting. It's also a good time to check the pos. cable from battery to starter, and battery grounds, to be sure they are tight.
