Alright guys so over this summer I failed to take my dads lifelong advice "never ride with shorts on".. As you all know these bikes get super hot and it looks like where my legs were burning there is an awkward stain. I was hoping some of you may have a magic solution. I have only tried washing it normally and scrubbing with regular soap because I was worried about using something that might mess it up more. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well your Old Man offers great advice. WEAR YOUR PPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you don't know that the stains are from? I take it you think it is sweat or some type of body fluid? And not POL?

It almost has to be sweat or something of the sort... I know for sure my legs got pretty damn hot everytime i rode with shorts. The way it stained is very weird to me though

I had one on my swingarm... I have seen others on here with similar stains, don't think there was ever a real good solution?!?(pun?) BUT mine seems to be gone now. I remember the awful shade of discoloration and even the shape but can't find it now so the good news is it should fade in time.

Does seem weird Looks like Oil from the picture.

If It were me, I would take some degreasing dish soap and a finger nail brush and do some scrubbing. I wouldn't worry so much about ruining the paint. The Buell touch up paint is really expensive ($20-25 a can) But works Perfect!!!

alright cool thanks jakestolar! that makes me a little less hesitant to go to town with a scrub brush. I have new riding pants coming in the mail next week so I shouldnt have to worry about this again

Man I dunno I'm thinking an alkali reaction to sweat? I had some wierd streaking on my bikes frame when I got it from spilled fuel and I hit it with a power ball and rubbing compound, problem solved.

I would try some scratch remover/paint polish. It will take a little powdercoating off, but it get rid of the dog piss stains on my swingarm.

Go to harley dealer or someone that stocks S100 engine britener. Get a cloth and spray that **** on and coat the whole frame in a circular motion.

I would take some 2000grit sandpaper and wetsand it using a water spray bottle to keep it flushed well. Take your time with it. Should take those marks right off and not leave a dull area afterwards.

Nope it will leave very shiny areas on a dull frame. Doesn't work out well..

Yeah don't do the wet sanding! I had a stain on my frame, now half of it is shiny. I'm gonna buy the frame paint, it needs it anyhow.

I'm thinking you laid it wide open, it was going so fast, you pissed yourself! Stains the frame every time! That paint is like a sponge!

I do it all the time!
:D

I had a stain on my frame where someone before my owning tried to wax and polish the frame. Left polish streaks. I took a can wd-40 and a scotch-brite pad to it and it came right off. Didnt leave any scratches either. Might look into that.

Dude dont even get me started that happens all the time to me.. Its even worse when your going that fast, piss yourself, then see a cop. Thats where the brown stains on my seat usually come from!

I was worried about rubbing compound being too gritty also.. at this point im willing to try just about anything that wont mess anything up worse. WD-40 i tried but only with a rag Ill have to try with a scotch brite pad. Thanks guys I appreciate all the input! When I get the stains off I will be sure to post some pics and let you know what ended up working.

Soak a rag with WD40 and press it into the stain. Won't hurt it and may work. Removes grease from chrome wheels faster than anything out there.
