Some of you may have seen the front tire I have for sale in the classifieds - it's a Michelin 120/60-17, and our bikes run a 120/70-17 from the factory. My money is tight right now and I can't find a buyer for the tire, so I'm contemplating using it. Will I notice much of a difference going from a 70 to a 60? I called a local shop and they said that the difference would be minimal. Also, would I notice a difference as one tire is a Pilot Road and the other is a Pilot Power?

120/60-17

120 is the width
Height is 60% of 120
17 is the rim

For normal day to day ridding, doubt you’d ever notice. If you like to play rough in the corners, then you might need to play with you suspension adjustments.

As far as the different compounds, depends on which type you have front or rear. Wouldn’t run a road front/power rear but a road rear/power front would not really be a problem.

This depends on your ridding style more then anything.

I'll probably go ahead and use it as the majority of my riding will be commuting to work. Thanks for the reply. [up]

Majority of my riding is commuting too. But my commute includes 40 miles of canyons. :D:p[cool]
