on my 09 the ground came loose on the rails and the positive cable has three wires attached to the batt two came loose right before the batt but couldnt see until i pulled the insulation back.also the harness where it rubs on the frame left side by the forks.also the low seats can rub the ecm harness next to the ecm
Thank you for your fast replies anrkizm[up]. My friend made it and I just got home. Thought I'd give the bike a try and the pump primed! but it still has the wire problem. I'll tear into it in the morning and see what I find. Again thanks for the help and hopefully the problem is an easy one to find ( I hate electrical ).
If anyone has an 04 xb12s can you see if your bike has a fuel pump fuse[confused]. My fusebox cover does'nt show a fuse or a relay...does anyone know if it shares a ciruit?
wiring diagrams can be found at the top of this page at the buell service manual link.just checked it dosnt have a fuse.one side is switched at ignition the other goes to ecm
Thank you again[cool], I tried downloading it last night and my computer was'nt cooperating. Spent the night tearing it down and did not see any bad wires. Guess the next thing to do is replace the relays...if thats not the fix then I'll look into the pump. Before I go to far I guess the first thing to do is see if there is power to the pump.
