basically for mock up to see what it'll look like, I tend to change my ideas in a small amount of time

if yer gonna tear it down like that, i'd see about getting a quote for the whole job at a good powdercoater ...

I hadn't planned on tearing it down and my money for anything long term is all into my lawyer fund

so I forgot to show my cams since they're SOL, not all are this bad, but they all have issues

here's my next question simply for the fact I'm pretty sure this is odd, anyone else's fork have one of these on it? or has mine been repaired at some point?

Looks like where the reflector glue was but I cant see it very well? Or is it actually a cut? trying to look at this on my phone isnt helping me!!!

it's a rubber sticker / guard . One on my bike too, sits right behind the brake line to keep it from rubbing.

alright, thanks sinner, that sounds right

so here she is back together.
I have a few more kinks to work out, it's throwing trouble code 14 which is the engine temperature sensor and I believe I have an exhaust leak on the front header so I'm gonna see what I can do about those two issues and then I should be good.

I think the engine temp sensor code is causing the engine to cut out at high rmps and it doesn't seem to want to go beyond 6800, has anyone else had this issue?

I believe 12s are 7000 and 9s are 7200, I know it's not hitting redine it stopps accelerating and starts cutting out around 130

on a side note, I forgot how good it feels to go fast and how these don't feel fast when you're doing it

the xb12 is 6800 the xb9 is 7500. the newer xb12 engine got pushed up to 7100 i think. but i see you have the older one like me.

well, I could've swore I've pushed it up to 7, but I know that it cut out early either way. I've pushed it up to the red on my tach and it didn't get near it tonight

My 9 tachs out at 7400, well I guess mine could be off a bit since it has the xbdashboards plate.

I always thought the 12s were good till 7k, never redlined one out.....

Also whats with the windshield thing????

it's a saeng wing, I wanted a red screen and the guy I bought it from had that attached to it and didn't want to take it off. I've found it redirects bugs and flying cr*p quite well

and I've never seen another like it, so it's kinda hard to mistake her for another one

ok so I'm getting an issue with the engine temp sensor and I'm not really sure what to do, any ideas other than replacing it?

so I feel kinda like a dumb*ss, when I put the bottom rocker cover back on I pinched the wire for the engine temp sensor and that's why I was getting the trouble code 14 bs

Replace it. That's really the only option. The ETS can cause some weird issues when it goes out and from the looks of yours I would just replace it and not risk even a decent repair of failing.
