hey everyone just thought id introduce myself and see whats goin on. i just got myself a 07 xb12r and so far im loving it im up in the everett washington area so i was hoping there would be some buellers in the nearby area. anyways thanks guys and ill talk to yall later

Hello mate welcome to the forum! Glad you`re enjoying your bike and there is bound to be someone near to you i would imagine, i am in the Uk so not very local to you! ha ha ha Can you post some pics of your bike sometime? it would be good to see it! :eagerness:

Well, I'm in Florida so ride right over and say HI!

Yes they vibrate, yes they make weird noises, use Amsoil 20-50W, get a new battery, and ECMspy. Well... that covers it. Welcome to the forum!:eagerness:

haha not a problem as soon as i get home i will. so ive been reading a lot on here about using different oils in the swingarm and in the primary. is it ok to use the amsoil 20-50w in both? also i was hoping there might be a person close to me and could possibly show me how to properly use the ecmspy because the last thing i want is a bricked ecm. a little backround though, this is far from my first bike but it is my first efi bike so i have backround in building bikes with my dad everywhere from an aprilia rsvr to a 83 shovelhead. but yea as soon as i get home tonight and after install my new H.I.D. kit the pictures shall come. :eagerness:

what im looking into from the start is the breather mod, hids of course, dcpr9eix plugs, amsoil 20-50w oil, k&n filter and possibly a custom exhaust. ecmspy will be needed shortly hahaha

lightningbolt... that's an SS tail. put pucks on that frame. see if you can trade or sell that SS tail.. a S tail will look a lot cooler I got a lightningbolt with a Franks Germany race seat on it.. its a cool combo

Yea Im still new to buells but I thought it looked a little weird with that tail. Its really a tossup between the firebolt tail and the s tail. I heard the firebolt tail was much less comfortable than the lightning. I was thinking of the s tail with a low seat and risers and an integrated tail light.

I agree the lightning seat rail are expensive so I may pickup a firebolt tail and have my upholstery buddy make me a custom seat.

stock seat isn't bad at all .. nice and low too.

all you need is a right and a left, a under tail and a seat.. you can find a lot of that used on ebay.. you can go without co-rider pegs .. price for that would only be a tad more than a full r tail because you have a s tail tip already..

quickest would probably be a r-tail from the firebolt.. then save your old tail and slowly build a s-tail option.. you can swap them at will

Welcome, beardy! Nice looking Firebolt! Love the flying pegasus in the airbox. I'm a bit south of you...just outside Portland, Oregon. But, maybe we'll meet up on a ride someday!

Yes definitely get a firebolt tail while they are cheap. & any other spares you may need. Stator, voltage regulator, levers, bars & pegs.

Welcome to the forum, odd looking bike but hey, that's why we ride Buells!

so just an update, ive done the breather mod k&n filter, airbox mod, ground cleaning, injector cleaner, reset the tps and adjusted my afv and now shes running great beside the like 1/8 throttle popping im getting but i think that has something to do with the k&n making her run a little lean. been reading forum after forum on mods and whatnot and i think im going to try my hand at an exhaust mod either this weekend or next. any advice or comments would be appreciated thanks guys:)

It was at 90.5% I believe but it just puffed coughed farted and died a lot so I put it to 100 and it was better but still sputtered so I went to 105 and still got better but still existed so I went to 110 and smoothed everything out besides the 1/8 throttle stuttering but after the exhaust mod I think a dyno tune is a must
