That's what some guy yells at me out on my ride around Lake Mille Lacs yesterday. Turns out, he used to work for Erik before the shutdown in the Product Development dept. All I could say was thanks for making one hell of a bike.... Anyways, kinda cool to run into a guy at a gas station that had a hand in creating the bike you ride.

I was sitting in Golden, CO after a long ride about to grab a beer. Was with 5 other buddies riding everything from a gxr to a street glide....this smoking hot tall blonde chick walks up and says "sweet Buell" and ignores the others and keeps walking.

If I wasn't married, I'd have married that keeper.

On my way home from work not too long ago, I notice a 370Z coming up on me fast. I get caught at the light and they pull up next to me and roll the window down. Its a really attractive lady and she says all excited "I thought that's what you were riding! I don't see many Buells on the road. My first bike was a Buell blast. I really loved it. You have a beautiful bike!". I said thank you and told her she had great taste in motorcycles and that she should really look into an XB. Light turned green, she waved, turned and took off. As much as I like it when people know what bike it is, its even better when a very attractive woman knows what it is and appreciates it. [cool]

I actually traded my 1125cr plastics with a guy on this site that works for ebr right now as an engineer. He was a really cool guy and telling me a bunch of awesome stuff.

The most memorable one for me was right after I had painted it and was riding around down in the Old Market of Omaha. I was playing on my phone in front of my bike and I hear a guy make a comment about it to the girl he's with (something like "I wonder who's it is"), then the woman says "maybe it's his?" and points to me. I never look up from my phone and say YEP, then I look up and it's Stephen (RedWhiteandBuell).

At least your bike got recognized for what it is. I get asked an average of 3-5 times a ride "what kind of ducati is that?" despite the fact it says Buell on the airbox and I have my Buell jacket on lol.

I feel your pain Jay. The worst is like, oh it's just a crotch rocket made by Harley... Almost lost my mind.

I never got a whole lot of recognition on my Buell either, but it's the BMWs I've owned that receive some of the most ignorant responses. You'd be surprised how many folks say something like "oh, how funny, you glued BMW emblems to your motorcycle!?".

Ever since I put white plastics and engine guards on my Uly, it gets mistaken for a BMW.

Was at a meet in Boyer WV. One of the guys I know brought his girlfriend. While having a conversation with her, him and my wife, the girlfriend pipes up and says, "Every time I see a Buell Ulysses it always looks like it wants to f#ck something....."
We all just sat there for a moment and then I started to laugh. Thanks for the compliment.... Funny
