Want to get HIDs for my 07 firebolt but I'm confused on what to get and how to install.... I see there are hid bulbs, conversion kits, and so on but what will fit or be easily moded to fit? I want the color to be between bright white and blue. Not completely blue but a lighter clearer form of blue if that makes sense? Any ideas?????

Use the sponsors of the board, and get the small ballasts. There are 3 types. The big box, the small box with the wire with the big 'snake ate a gerbil' lump, and small box with normal wires. They get hot so mount accordingly.

An 'automotive' kit is the exact same, it just comes with both bulbs in one box.

I used Xentec 5000k 55w slim ballast, used in both low and high beam, of course wired in relays. No timer yet, but I plan to add a pac tr-7 mainly so I get more power to my starter.

On amazon a lot of the kits have different color options along with size options? I know what color but does the size of the bulb matter or what's the difference????? I don't want to get the wrong one

You can get ones that are "plug and play" that go right into the stock headlight connector, but I highly suggest using a relay to wire them up. Most sellers will have a relay wiring harness kit that is close to being plug and play, you would just need to connect to the headlight connector, battery and ground.

Size of the bulb is what size bulb fits in your headlight which is an H7 for lightnings not sure about firebolts.

The Pac TR-7 is a programmable device that can be setup as a delay on timer. It is not 100% needed, some will argue that the ballasts wont last from turning on before the bike is started. I want to use it so that my headlights are not drawing power while trying to start.

I would assume something like the headlights would be the same on both bikes... So I'll prob just go with the H7.
And thank you so much that makes way more sense now!
