was driving along hit a pot hole and as I said the lights on dash went out and bike stalled cannot get restarted no power to ignition but have power to other parts of bike If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate it thanks

either that or a ground broke, if the one on the front of the frame breaks connection it'll take all of that out.

thanks for the info I have checked baterry terminals and fuses have power out of main fuse but nothing to ignition will check the other suggestions

Check All the Fuses individually one at a Time. Might want to get a 6/12volt test light.A fuse instrument for checking the Fuses one at a time Removed & you can find that at most Auto parts Stores,Walmart etc., even comes with some fuses.
I believe it is the Bank Angle Sensor. You may need to unplug it and replug it back in with the keyswitch and the start/kill on.Then turn the Keyswitch off,Wait about 15/seconds turn on Key see if it will Start. This does not [always work] but the pothole must have been a bad one. Check the Battery terminals as usual. You can also Remove the Positive terminal for about a Minute to see if it will reset the Bank Angle Sensor.
I'm ASSUMING that the Fuel pump is working properly.Check the Harness at the Steering assembly. The relays could have gotten loose from a hard impact like you hit. Glad that you didn't Wreck your bike. Most Likely IT is Something Small and just a Pain to Find. Start with the Small things First. Welcome to the Forum. Take your time you'll get it.*Jimi;)[up]

Not related to the electrical problems, but if it was a bad pothole you might also check your front motor mount. I hit a hole on my gravel road hard and it broke mine.
