has anyone tried or have made a hitch for the xb syle bike. If so could you post a few pics. ive been thinking that I might try it and wanted to see what others may have done.

with such a short wheel base and low weight i think it sounds like a terrible idea. what would you attach it to? the subframe is up so high you would be doing wheelies non stop, not to mention im sure its not strong enough. and you cant attach it to the swingarm because then your trailer becomes unsprung weight which would just kill the handling and ride quality.

I was going to say to put a shaft through the swing arm, but I would make the whole mount pivot somehow because a trailer with 2 wheels is much more stable

i reckon i would change the mounting so that it came from teh front seat rail bolt locations. no way would i hitch it to the swingarm! crazy!!

I dug that up on this forum. I saved the pic because i thought it was badass. I cant remember the link tho. Try searching this site and google

Sport Touring at it's finest!!

I like the DIY Chariot style the best. Throw a midget with bow and arrow and you have a Cupid Cycle.

yeah kind of does look like a bomb dollie with one wheel.
Can I say that by attaching this to the swing arm you're going to transfer every bit of road vibration into the hitch and subsequently the trailer. Possibly enough on a good sized bump enough to jerk the hitch away from the trailer. A clevis or some kind of captive hitch would be a must. No ball hitch, bad idea! I have this sinking feeling this whole thing will end in tears.

You could always look at it as a giant axel slider lol. Good luck with this idea hope it works out for the best
