My S3 has been a little hard to start lately; then the other day, on the way home from work, the idle was up around 12-1400rpm.
I plugged it in to my laptop this morning and found no apparent problems, so I decided to clean and lube my throttle and cables. When I put it back together, I found that my throttle was sticking open, so I decided to take off the air filter (Forcewinder) to see what I could see.

The title of the thread comes from what I said when I found a small screw inside the air filter!
It was one of the screws from the throttle plate and the loose plate is what was causing my problems (at least I think so, I haven't put it back together yet).

Do you think blue Locktite is good enough to hold the screws in? Any other suggestion?

I guess the motorcycle gods are with me. It could have been a major disaster, if that screw had gone the other way.

Lox tire should be fine, as long as there isn't excess to be sucked into the engine. These engines vibrate so much locyite should be on everything

On our racing carts we use mikini carbs and we would loctite the threads and stamp the back of the screw with a punch to spread it out just a hair.... just beware they are a real mofo to get back out and usually ruin the throttle shaft.....

Blue loctite is meant to be removed/broken loose with hand tools. Should be fine. The red is the high torque stuff.
Just my 2c
