why did they change the swingarm anyways? my 05 has the old style and i think it looks better. is there a reason ?

the new one is stronger and lighter with the majority of oil closer to the pivot for a faster reacting suspension.

Do you know of someone who's used Mono successfully in tuning their bike or done it yourself? All I've heard is talk so far, I'd like an actual account from someone that has successfully used/tuned their '08+ ECM. [smirk]

150 out of a xb is hog wash it will do about 130ish before it is hitting the rev limiter.

I have gotten my old XB9R up to 144, it is possible that 150 was attained

Yes I've got 145 indicated on my 9R but it's also got more revs than the 12 right? I now have a Hawk Performance muffler and it feels like it wants to run higher than before. I've only gone up to 125 recently and don't really know if I'll test the top speed here in California anytime soon. When I was in AZ there were a lot of places where there were no cops and tons of open road.

have him roll the bike and make sure the belt keeps the same clearence on the rear pulley. then ride it and softly apply both brakes feeling for pulsations. If your comfortable take both hands off the bars and feel if it coast in a reasonably straight line. And of course look for scrapes on the foot and hand controls and bottom of forks and swingarm. And casually work into the conversation this question. After saying that all bikes have little imperfections like stripped bolts etc. Can you show me the little thnigs that are'nt quite right on your bike. Often a question along those lines will get the person to point out things he would'nt have, had you not asked.

Look at the 4th picture: it's a drummer with the billet end cap (not a D&D).

Congrats on the damn good price. The guy probably spent about that much on the different mods. I thought 5K for my 08 with 700 miles was good. That bike is basically all set.

I love the look of the clear air cover and I was thinking of doing that myself. It doesn't look as good as I imagined. Good luck with it
