I have been Buell-less since trading my 09 XB12 for a Ducati Monster. I came into this X1 through the shop. It needs a top/bottom re-build and I want to build it up. I want to use S&S for parts, as I can buy wholesale. Does anyone have an idea on the frame to rockerbox clearance? I need to see how far I can go on stroke. I already have the top end off, and am trying to avoid putting it together to get a clearance.
Thanks

If I remember correctly you can go 90 ci with no clearance issues in tubers, xb's have problems though.

S&S doesn't know much about Buells.. I been talking to their "Sportster Guy".. He was concerned about frame clearance. Looks like the consensus is to stay with stock stroke and look at bore. I am probably gonna build it using S&S flywheel assy, 3.8125 (stock) stroke. I am leaning towards the 90" kit from Revolution Performance, along with their Stage 3 CNC porting on the heads. I will post up build pics as I move along. It will be badass.
