Just wondering what you guys suggest as far as gear for 70F-90F weather. So far I've been riding in a denim jacket and jeans, but went down about a week ago on a patch of gravel and while it saved me from road rash...pretty sure I did some good damage to my shoulder where I landed.

Right now I'm looking at the Icon Hooligan 2 Mesh jacket/pants. Wondering if you guys had any other suggestions.

If heat really is a factor then whatever you buy make sure the shoulders are white or at the very least light colored. I bought a scorpion jacket that is almost all white. Nothing absorbs and holds heat like black and darker colors. If anyone has not learned this yet I am sure the older you get this statement will ring truth to your ears.
Safe journeys to all [up]

I'm in Texas and I'D PAY FOR 90 DEGREES right now. Today will be 103, the lowest in like 40 days.

I have an Axo Cage jacket which is about as cool as you'll get with gear on.I'm not a huge fan of the look of it, but It came free with my bike when I bought it.

I think the best true Hot gear jacket is the Rev'it Air Jacket. This jacket is very well made, offers good protection for hot gear jacket, and looks good. I saw a guy wearing one on the road the other day and it was a sharp looking jacket. Now if you're into the flashier colors, skulls, etc, this may not be the right fit.

I hear you netty2424. Here in Tulsa we finally cooled down some. Hang in there and we'll keep prayin for cooler weather in Texas too.

I use the Icon ARC mesh jacket here in sunny south Florida. It has leather in the high impact areas and ce armor in the shoulder and elbows

I use the Joe rocket alter ego. The out side zips off to reveal a mesh jacket and it comes with a waterproof liner. In case you have cool mornings hot days like in NY.

What size pants are you? I have a set of Icon Hooligan camo kevlar reinforced jeans that are too big for me I bought used in a big lot of stuff from some guy. Yours if ya want'em.

Also an XL Icon Timax II in Black and Blue I dont wear anymore. Great jacket for the heat, and not bad at all for the winter with the liner in it.

I picked up the Icon Daytona jacket this spring on sale, its all perfed under the sleaves and with the shoulder vents and back vents open it breathes pretty good as long as your moving.
Which is about the same for anything, as long as your moving your ok, get stopped in traffic, your going to sweat.
And I have the Tour Master Flex pants.

the buell mesh jacket works great. But I know they are hard to find. I also know shift makes a really good mesh jacket. try ridersdiscount.com they are really nice and will deal with you on their prices.

I use the Icon t-max mesh jacket and it is great. It gets 95-100 here almost every day.

^ Thats my Icon jacket exactly on it has almost hero blue highlights. But since getting my A* MX-1 it gets 0 use.

We got a brief shower today and temps hit about 90 for a couple hours before the front rolled through! Now its hotter than hello again! [mad]

Nike hotgear shirt, Buell turbulent jacket, adventure pants.

Above a 100, it's no fun. I don't go out. Can't wear less gear.

If I wanted to live somewhere that had temps over 100F every day, I'd of stayed in Iraq. And that's on my list of places I'd like to never be again.

The Rev'it Air looks pretty nice, how's the sizing on it? I wear a Large in Icon, not sure what my measurements are since I haven't been fitted for anything in awhile.

What's the consensus on Icon gear? I've seen a few pics where they stood up well...but only thing I've ever had that were Icon are my gloves...and the reinforced leather palms didn't survive where a pair of Old Navy blue jeans did. Kinda concerning.

Also looking into a new helmet, have a HJC CS-R1 that's done great at surviving it's abuse. Thinking of upgrading to the IS-16, or the O'Neal Tirade. Usually wear earbuds or my Oakley Thump Pros for music when I ride anyways, so figure it won't be a bad upgrade. Any thoughts?

a* mesh jacket mostly white with some blue and black.
And a cycle gear cooling vest good investment for 30 bucks.
I actully found my buell adventure pants block heat better coming from my 1125r than my shift riding jeans

The real question should be, do they make racing gear? If not, why not? Kinda concerning.

They make street gear. Because thats where I ride, I dont need track gear fr the street

Any white leather jacket will be cooler than a black mesh jacket. The coolest is a white mesh jacket if you can find it. Obviously, the best thing for warm weather riding is RIDING FASTER!

I <3 my track gear. Go down in street gear and you'll know why. I've NEVER seen street pants do their job. Plus, street gear only lasts for one crash. Track gear is designed to withstand multiple crashes.
