My fan is having electrical issues, it's shorting out the fuse. I need to remove it and check fo shorts but the problem is that I have a Jardine exhaust and I can't jack the bike to remove the rear shock!!! How would I go about jacking the bike now?

Do you have a ceiling that you could screw some hooks into? You could lift up the rear with some ratchet straps attached to the passenger peg brackets. Some people have also done that with a ladder over the tail if you don't have a ceiling you can screw hooks into.

If you have a garage, you could try lifting it from the rafters with ratchet straps or a come-along.

I stuffed tons of newspapers inbetween the swingarm and tranny and wrapped all that in bubble wrap. From there I took off the plastics and air box, dismantled the rear and the shock, you will need help from someone to pick the rear back up to line the shock back up. Yes, this is a super ghetto way of doing it, but it worked well for my situation. I'm not saying to do it, but it does work.

Thanks for the ideas, I would lift it to the raffters but I don't have my pass pegs on and I don't have ratchet straps so I guess next option is to take out the slip-on and jack it, but I don't have a jack either!
Looks like it's time to go buy tools.

A floor jack isn't very expensive.

I've had to install/reinstall my O2 sensor a few times, which requires shock and fan removal. Once you've done it the first time, it's actually a pretty simple process. I, too, have an aftermarket exhaust without jack points, so I just pull it off and lift from the underside of the engine. It's a breeze.
