I have seen where people complained about the RT-1 coming apart

I've seen this too.....either I have the one and only 'good' one or you are correct, as I have had ZERO issues.

Proper maintenance is the key.  Hint, sometimes get off your fat ass and look at the stuff on your bike that you normally don't see.

I have a hawk and its not bad after i cut it apart to reweld the parts that fell off on the inside

this happened to me in my hawk. I loved the hawk pipe, still have it, but I switched to a factory buell race pipe and its just very different, much deeper, not as raspy. smoother. Ive been trying to tune it through ecmspy but I'm a noob when it comes to that. so time will tell.

I was able to get a Hawk form 5-0Dro and after ringing around a little... I can say that I like it! It is on the loud side if I don't have my headphones playing! But over all great sound lovely growl! Still getting used to the decel pop but no real complaints!

I went with an APH reverso, made by albert666, a forum member. Great sound, excellent mid-range and got rid of the dead spots my race pipe gave me.

I had already 12 Buells (2003-2009) along last 2 years, and tried the DRUMMER, HAWK, JARDINE, D&D, STOCK, and RACE KIT...

For me the best is the RACE KIT!! :)

i loved my Drummer SS, sounded great, loud but not harsh, neighbours didn't mind it. With a EBR ecm and a KN, it would pull 5th from way down low ( - 2000 rpm ) to redline with no hicups.

No one has even mentioned the Micron?! Seriously besides for Deans pipes it offers the most and looks the best. I had a jardine first (sucked), then D&D (better/LOUD), now Micron (this thing RIPS/still sounds great/looks phenomenal)

Also minus Deans full system ($$$), Termignoni ($$$), or Force, Micron is one of the few systems that offers headers along with the slip-on.

Besides I've got one for sale ;)

I have to add another plug for Deans exhaust. I heard it on a fellow members 1125r and when I get one it will have his exhaust. Sounds godly![up]

I'm using a Jardine RT-1 CF can for a few years now. It is seriously light, so it makes the bike so much more flick-able. You are talking about like 10+ pounds disappearing from the bottom of your bike. You must, however, pack it with something good and tune the bike, otherwise it is raspy and pops like hell. I'm running ASB muffler packing and an EBR ECM.... runs like a dream.

P.S. I ain't old and ear plugs are a must with this setup, otherwise fatigue sets in quick.
