Can anyone tell me how to do a data log on a 03 xb12r?
trying to find out why the bike feels like it drops on its face at 5k rpms in every gear but first and after 5700 rpms it picks up. By drops on its face I mean it spits and sputters and fights through that 700 rpms. There is absolutely no toque my sv650 has more guts. The xb cant pull the tire more than 2 inches max it just feels gutless compared to even my sv650.
Did find something strange if you spray parts cleaner on the top of the engine near the valve covers the bike bogs and almost dies. I tried spraying around the ports for the TB on the heads and nothing happens.

Also, you may need to pull off your intake and see if something is missing or open and also check to make sure the California epa thing is not on there and the port on the side of the throttlebody is plugged

much thanks ill be trying to get the log done tomorrow on the way to work but i quick grabed some shots of the maps. Can anyone tell me if they look ok? its supposed to be mapped for a gp1 exhaust i have no idea how to read these but will be reading more on that link to find out but a second set of knowing eyes is welcome.

ok after looking close at time # 275.61 the number 4 spots from the right side line 2 the number is 64 move to the next time # 275.84 it changes to 198 then you go to time 276.93 it is still at 197 then at 277.14 its back down to 68
now trying to know what this is i think it is under the error 1 slot please what does this mean?

wont let me edit just noticed that the afv goes from 13 when running right to 237 when running like crap...[confused]

I can take a look at your eeprom data, but the pics of the fuel/timing maps are a bit small for my screen. Can you post a .bin or .epr/xpr?

Also, it should not be possible for the AFV to go below 60%, or above 150%, unless you or someone have changed those limits in your EEPROM. Even then..... Unfortunately, I can't see the place in the log you are referring to.

I'll do some editing when i get home and get better pictures up for you. The ecm is from Ebr for the jp1 exhaust that's on the bike.

dont know if this one will work but this is the front fuel map

that table makes no sense.

it shows tps at 85deg but 8bit at 255, engine temp at a constant 30.6, injector pulswewidth fairly constant????

what is the "Y" axis?

the data need to be arranged in a different manner. what program did u use to get that info like that?

I used ecmspy but just edited the picture to show what im talking about i have not idea how it is jumping like that. As for the Y axis im not sure what you mean.
Could this be as simple as a o2 sensor going bad?

im talking about this one:

ive never seen anything from SPY that looks like that. the Y-axis has no label. those values are AFV vs 'what' ??

That is just the data from megalog from a ride I logged with ecmspy. I'm not sure how to find exactly what it is afv vs? If you know how to find it or know how to get the info you want can you tell me where to go in the ecmspy?

did a quick log with the o2 sensor unplugged and it still stumbled but it stumbled higher in the rpms instead of 5k rpms now its 5600 and the afv didnt go as high. The afv seamed to recover back to the 13 much quicker also hope you can see this full picture

The fuel maps look visually ok. But many of the log values don't.
I would have to find an old, unsupported version of ECMSpy to even begin to figure your log out. Maybe someone else who has experience with the old version can help. Have you considered ECMSpy for Mono or Tunerpro RT?

Datalogging is still a great way to investigate, but I can't do anything with the log screen caps you posted.
