Hello all,
I just bought a 2005 Buell XB12R and I have no idea how to change the air filter on this bike. I took off the plastic cover and there is a black plastic box which I assume holds the air filter. I want to make sure it's a high flow filter as the pipes and exhaust have been upgraded along with the ECM chip. My question is what's on top of the air filter housing and do I disconnect the hoses to get to the filter.
Thanks for any advice you have to a new rider.

First, Welcome to the "Family" and ride Safe. :)[up]

Second, there's an enormous wealth of knowledge both from the users here on this site and the Site itself. The question about your inner airbox can probably be better explained and found in the FREE downloadable '05 Service Manual that can be found on this site. It'll come in handy, so I'd just download it and save it on your computer. Here's how to get to it.

First Click as shown below, it's found at the Top of this very Page.

Then click as indicated below when the previous page loads, it's about halfway down the page. Download and Enjoy. ;) And let us know if you need anymore help.
