I love a good deal. So when i find a vheap car, I'll usually buy it. I take it home and put some seafoam in it!! I have a lot of friends that ask me how to use it, and what it does..

I sad down last night and made a little video. I would like to share it..

Thanks for the how to. In the future, maybe you could add voiced instructions instead of music.

Oh by the way, I've been in the automotive industry for a while now and every mech. says the same thing.

I've got a friend that's a master tech at Nissan and a bigtime car guy and he swears by the stuff. Everyone has their own opinions I guess.

water works just as good when using the vacuum hose method and its a lot cheaper.also if you make a fitting with small pin holes it cleans better.pros have a tool that does this iv seen shadetrees use the top of a gear oil pint.seafoam is a great product[up]

When I worked for Nissan, they would charge $89.99 for what they called "induction service".

I just showed you guys how to do the exact same thing for free..

yea i worked for a couple of places that did this it consisted of clean throttle body hook up a can to a vaccum line the smaller the better and one can in the tank.easy money

Don't forget to change the oil right after this is done if you don't you just wasted a bottle of seafoam because all that gunk you just loosened up is now in the oil.

Very true. You want to run it for 100-250 miles, then change the oil. I will add that to the video when I make updates. Since I need to add voice instructions, too.

Most techs know this but put'in it out there anyway, be careful how fast you allow the liquid to be sucked into the intake system as to much at one time will hydrolock the engine. I use a small vacuume line and put it into a larger line and let the engine "suck" the cleaner into the engine. When I was firt starting out at a dealership I used a large vac line and let engine idle instead of keeping rpms up and engine stopped all at once-bent #1 rod. BAD experieance! just control how fast liquid goes in engine.

So.. I see this is for cars.. What about on a Buell, do we just add it to the gas tank? or do the oil part too?

And how does adding it to the brake system run to engine / effect the engine? Just curious, would like to learn "how" and "why" things work, not just, ya this is how to do it :D

I'm wondering which line you would use to introduce Seafoam into a Buell XB motor?

Probably to the tank... but there's gotta be instructions somewhere. Maybe even on the can. Possibly spray it somewhere behind the air filter.

As far as brake system... you are pouring it into the vaccuum line that runs to the brakes. In other words... it's a rubber hose that connects to the air intake, which is drawing in air (vaccuum).... which sucks in the seafoam. You are not adding ANYTHING to the brakes.

Would you happen to have a picture showing this line chevy? I assume this is the line that cleans out the combustion chambers, right?

its just a vacuum line that is easy to find on every car because almost every vehicle on the road has a vacuum assisted brake booster. Your whole intake manifold is under a vacuum, that why air flows into it. From high to low pressure. Its just an easy way of getting the fluid into your intake and the hose small enough most people cant add it fast enough to really cause any damage.

The only way i see you doing this to a buell is pouring it directly into the throttle body. You can add it to the gasoline but it will never be in the same concentration you see as pouring it in a vacuum line.

I really have no opinion on if seafoam works or not. Just helping to explain the vacuum line questions.
