How would you like this as your second or third toy in the garage? Found this on Discovery Channel web site...

Having a hard time shopping for that guy who has everything? Or maybe you desperately need a fun new toy for yourself? Here’s a guaranteed winner, courtesy of Hammacher Schlemmer and Parker Brothers Choppers: A nine foot long ‘big wheel’ trike with a 45″ front tire, powered by a Harley Davidson V-Twin Evo, painted in dayglo green.

This isn’t your average tricycle. It can go up to 50 mph, and it’s steered through a couple of levers linking the rear wheels, not a handlebar. And it costs $75,000.

The Lean Mean Green Machine is an adult sized replica of an memorable riding toy from the ’70s – the Green Machine, and this one will be sure to turn heads no matter where it’s parked.

The front wheel is driven by a chain housed in a protective cowling that replicates the toy’s frame and, like its predecessor, the cycle is steered by two handheld push/pull levers that control the two rear wheels via a directional linkage. The hand levers include brakes while a foot lever controls its manual 6-speed transmission. Its 8 1/2-gallon fuel tank is built into the frame, hidden from view, providing a range of 400 miles. – Hammacher Schlemmer

Once you’ve got the Lean Mean Green Machine, all you have to do is build a plywood ramp big enough to launch it into a huge pile of leaves, and you’ll be the most popular guy in the neighborhood (again).
