Found out my wife is pregnant. Best day ever! We have been trying for 7 years and we finally got it on our fifth try of artificial insemination.

well, I just got a new house a few weeks ago, and still havent moved in due to a few things we needed to get done to the backyard prior to bringing the pups out there. We decided to screen in our back porch, and make the side yard a dog run... more work than I anticipated, but doing it myself is definitely cheaper than contracting it out, it is just finding time to do it all that is a bi***. Between a full time job, full time classes, and sleep, I dont have much daylight to work with.

We are doing our big move tomorrow, and I have been lacking sleep (roughly 4-6 hours per night for the last 3 weeks in a row) so I will probably just pass out tomorrow after we are done moving the furniture.
hopefully after this weekend, my life will return to a somewhat normal state.

well now, today started off with a neighbours house a few clicks down the road going up in flames.

Where we live there are no fire departments so being that Adele and I were first on scene we rescued the St. Bernard chained up on the property and looked for some source of water to stop the fire from going to the garage (which had a boat and a pick'em up truck in it)
There was none so I pushed down the log fencing around the property (it was on fire) to stop it from spreading to other properties.

The RCMP showed up and together we ripped down the gate to be able to drag the car near the house away from the fire.

Homeowner was 177kms in Williams Lake with his family so that was a good thing...

House and garage are totally burnt to the ground.
We brought the dog to our place and the owner called us to let us know he was on the way to pick him up....

its now noon and the temp is 50 F in the sun and 45 F in the shade, guess I'll ride [up]

Went to an optomotry appt. was told I can't have corrective sugery. On the way home on the buell I see rain clouds in the distance, so I punch it. I get about a mile or two down the road and I see lights come on 3/4 mile down the road from me. I did the honest thing and pulled onto a side road and he pulled in behind. Before he hops out of the car I can tell he is flustered as hell. I thought he might cuff me. Anyway, Barny Fife finally gets his short ass out of the car and does the whole bad ass cop riot. I am polite, give him my info, and tell him I'm trying to beat the rain home, so he takes twenty minutes to run my info. He got me for 82 in a 55, $247. So I pull out of the side road make it another mile and the rain hits. FML.

That ranty enough for you Squid?

thanks again Dave, with dial up internet in the middle of nowhere its takes forever to upload stuff.

The second pic shows the log fencing that was catching on fire due to the extreme heat, I used a large log to get close enough to push them back on the property as fire is a big, big threat out here

(luckily our property sits a a hundred yards from a small lake and when fire season is here the fire crews are camped just a km down the road)

When Cujos owners showed up from Williams Lake they were overcome with emotion as they considered him their 6th child.
